    Estimated Authors and Readers,

Unfortunately, the www.jrfm.eu server is also amongst those which use php as a “script language” which manages the connection between the backend databases and the frontend view. And thus, unfortunately, we are as well as thousands of other web services worldwide hit by the php2shell exploit that was published Oct 20th.

Bad news: For security reasons, we are offline at the moment.

Good news: Data integrity is preserved, the security patches are being installed and we expect to be online again until monday latest.

Please understand that the organisation hosting our webserver – the University of Graz – has an awful lot of systems running and that they apply security checks (“has anything already been compromised?”) and patches (“ok, security restored”) in order of importance of the respective service. And although this is annoying we tend to hold that services necessary for employment, payment, basic organisation and studying are more important than our OA journal (as good as it is!).

So, have patience. We will be back soon!
